360 Degrees of Skills: A Roundtable of Skills Governance and Architecture
We’ll explore strategies to define skills and their relationship to jobs, roles, career paths and opportunities. We will also discuss ways to govern and maintain skills architecture to meet the needs of the workforce and the needs of the business.
The Roundtable will be a small group of senior HR and Learning leaders, and we do it on Teams. Everyone shares successes and challenges they’re experiencing related to skills strategy and implementation issues, 60 minutes in total.

Roundtable Facilitator: Brian Richardson, Founder and CEO of Richardson Consulting Group, helping leading organizations improve business performance by improving human performance.
"Don’t try to solve the entire puzzle in one go; to start with a step and then take another and so on. In other words, skills architecture is enormous, and you'll never really get started if you feel like you have to have the entire solution crafted before you begin."
"One good thing we did was to make sure the structure was being referred to in every part of our lives, whether it's interviewing, whether it's training, or rewards."
“We looked at broad categories of skills to help people get from role A to role B, then mapped required skills for the role vs. ones that could really be learned on the job.”
“One of the first things we did early on when we were starting skills work was looking at the core strategic skills that were needed across the organization.”
